Lost Songs è un disco prezioso, un viaggio attraverso la musica colta del Novecento, alla ricerca di melodie perdute; splendide canzoni (è giusto definirle così) recuperate e cantate magistralmente da Marta Raviglia e sapientemente orchestrate dal pianoforte e l’elettronica di Simone Sassu. Si va da Erik Satie a Darius Milhaud, da Luciano Berio a Kenny Wheeler, da Duke Ellington fino a una piccola suite originale, composta dagli autori. Un percorso musicale inusuale, a tratti sorprendente (innanzitutto nelle misurate improvvisazioni) ma coerente nel rigore filologico complessivo. Il risultato è una musica lieve, profonda, elaborata con mente libera e senso dell’umorismo da chi ben conosce le problematiche compositive del secolo scorso ed ha metabolizzato l’esperienza cageana. Un lavoro brillante, come non capita così spesso di ascoltare.
